AI Degree Program Set to Begin at Karachi University

Karachi (Newsman): The Department of Computer Science at the University of Karachi (KU) has announced plans to offer a four-year Bachelor of Artificial Intelligence , AI degree program.

The AI degree program proposal is on the agenda for approval at the next Academic Council meeting, which is set for December 3 and is chaired by Vice Chancellor Dr. Khalid Mahmood Iraqi.

The program has been approved by both the Department of Computer Science’s Board of Studies and the Board of Faculty (Faculty of Science). If the Academic Council gives its approval, admissions will open in the following academic session.

The number of seats and the admission requirements are still being decided. Vice Chancellor Dr. Khalid Iraqi said in an interview, “Our goal is to provide quality education in cutting-edge fields.

This program has undergone thorough evaluation by the Board of Faculty before being forwarded for Academic Council approval.”

Dr. Sadiq Ali Khan, the chairman of the Department of Computer Science, explained that the AI degree curriculum was created with the recommendations of the National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC).

In support of this endeavor, the department is approaching the completion of two cutting-edge interactive smart classrooms. These classrooms are designed to enhance teaching and facilitate technical workshops.

KU’s Department of Computer Science currently offers four-year Bachelor of Science programs in Computer Science and Software Engineering.
