DUBAI : September 4,2022. Wah wah what a match. Actually, this match was a real depiction of what type of cricket game the fans expect when the world two best teams come face-to-face for a big match.
The match between India and Pakistan is always a great source of entertainment for the fans in and outside the stadium .
But Sunday’s showdown was a unique one . Both India and Pakistan played good cricket at Asia T20 cup contest here on Sunday. Rohat Sharma ‘s side was comfortable by making total of 181 runs on the board and his team would have been expecting to win with a good margin against Pakistan on Sunday.
But nobody knows when Pakistan cricket 11 bounces back and turns table on the opponent.
After having defeated just a week ago by Indian team in Dubai in Asia T20 cup, Pakistan needed to win Sunday’s clash to prove that it can bounce back and beat India at any stage at any stadium.
India was put for batting after losing the toss. Indian team payed an agressive game from the very beginning of its batting . Its great bat , Virat Kohli , played a fine inning . His 60 runs of 44 balls showed his quality batting .
Pakistan took a slow start as usual . Captain Babar Azam lost his wicket at an early stage . Then Fakhar Zaman’s lethargic inning put Pakistan in difficult situation .
Pakistan score was around 7 runs per over and its required run rate at one stage seemed going unmanageable .
It was Rizwan who kept rolling the ball amidst tense time . He not only kept hitting fours and sixes to keep run rate at achievable average, but also guided other side to save wickets from the Indian ballers. He played a wonderful inning of 71 runs.
Then Pakistan started to come back in the game after 10 overs.
At the end of 10 over Pakistan was not in the game . However , Mohammad Nawaz , came in to take charge of runs – making drive. He played an aggressive game to bring Pakistan ‘s required run down to around 10 runs per over . His heart -winning inning of 42 runs of 20 balls bagged man of the match award for him.
Actually, his 42 runs of 20 balls turned the game in Pakistan’s favour . After his catch out at the boundary in a bid to hit a sixer, Asif Ali took the charge to steer Pakistan’s to a sensational victory in the last over at the second last ball
All along Rizwan was holding anchor to help Pakistan sail through stormy waters and take it to a decisive win against India at Dubai stadium on Sunday.

After fall of a wicket of Asif Ali , it seemed that India may steal the show. But Pakistan’s Iftikhar Ahmad dispelled this impression by hitting a winning shot to second last ball of the last over.
Pakistan ‘s win in Sunday’s match has changed the history of Asia T20 cup by defeating India for the first time since 2014.
