Asif Zardari.says Imran Khan will face disqualification, land in jail

ISLAMABAD : Dec 1,2022: Pakistan People Party (PPP) supremo and former president , Asif Ali Zardari , has said Pakistan Tehreek- e Insaf (PTI) chairman , Imran Khan, could face disqualification and even land in jail.

The former president made these assertions in an interview given to Aaj TV here on Thursday.

Asif Ali Zardari said PTI chairman has no courage to face hardships of the prison. Rather, he repeated his previous claim that Imran Khan was afraid of a lizard.

Asif Ali Zardari who himself languished in jail for long years of his life makes fun of PTI chairman when he says Imran Khan was such a coward person that he is afraid of lizard.

The former president told the interviewer , Asima Shirazi, that PTI chief’s action of propagating a US cipher and now announcement of dissolution of assemblies of Punjab and Khyber Pukhtunkhaw ( KPK) was childish and it will neither serve the democratic system nor benefit the country . He claimed that Imran Khan lacks political sense and running his political party with the same mindset.

The former president defended his decision of taking away vehicles from Tosha Khana as president of Pakistan and claimed that he paid for the vehicles that he took away from Tosha Khana as head of the state.

Since PTI chief is facing a looming disqualification in Tosha Khana case and PTI leaders accuse former president Asif Zardari of taking precious vehicles from Tosha Khana as presidenr , the interviewer wanted to know from him his point of view on the issue.

President Asif Ali Zardari claimed that the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) has many options to depose Pervez Elahi government whose major beneficiary was PTI of Imran Khan .

Asif Ali Zardari, who is known for his role of trouble shooter, denied that he was angry with chief minister Punjab, Chaudhary Pervez Elahi , for siding with PTI in previous election of the chief executive of the province . The former president said there was distance with Chaudhary Pervez Elahi after his siding with PTI in the last election of the chief executive of the province, but he was not annoyed with him for it.
