Change of guard at ISI HQ today

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s premier spy agency , Inter Services Intellegence (ISI), is going to have a new boss Saturday (today).
Lieutinant General, Nadeem Anjum, will replace Lieutinant General, Faiz Hameed, as ISI chief.
The outgoing ISI boss, Lieutinant General, Faiz Hameed, will handover charge of ISI chief to his successor, Lieutinant General , Nadeem Anjum, here on Saturday (today).
Lieutinant General Faiz Hameed will takeover his next assignment as corp commander, Peshawar.
Before getting appointment as new ISI boss, Lieutinant General, Nadeem Anjum, was serving as corp commander Karachi. He had handed over charge as corp commander Karachi to his successor a few days ago.
Prime minister, Imran Khan, had appointed Lieutinant General, Nadeem Anjum, a month ago and his date to takeover as ISI chief was fixed as November 20, 2021.
Faiz Hameed did a great job for Pakistan as ISI chief. During his tenure , Pakistan made wonderful achievements on both fronts , in and out of Pakistan. ISI was a main player in defeating terrorists on Pakistan’s soil on one hand and teaching an unforgetable lesson to India by shooting down its two war planes in February 2020. India is yet to get out of that shock. Its RAW is still to come out of comma as to how Pakistan fixed five key targets in 24 hours after India’s fake surgical strike in Azad Kashmir area . Pakistan’s ISI established its supermacy over India’s raw in that key fight. ISI also defended Pakistan’s interests in Afghanistan during Faiz Hameed’s tenure as ISI chief.
Since Pakistan is yet facing many internal and external threats, Nadeem Anjum will set new standards as ISI chief to ensure that Pakistan wins over its enemies on all fronts. Nadeem Anjum’s professional capabilities and instinct to run ISI on further modern lines is beyond any doubt.
