COVID- 19: Pakistan introduce stringent measures to fight out deadly virus

ISLAMABAD: Facing big surge in COVID- 19 cases due to third variant in recent weeks, Pakistan on Sunday introduced several tough measures like ban on indoor and outdoor marriage ceremonies and other social and religious gatherings.

These harsh measures would help Pakistan cope with the new difficult situation.

In recent weeks, Pakistan has witnessed surge in COVID cases that took infection rate upto 8 percent . Hospitals are under pressure due to rising cases of COVID-19.

This is a horrifying situation for Pakistan.

Besides these measures, Pakistan put in place smart lockdown in different cities including Islamabad , Lahore and Quetta.

Meanwhile , Balochistan and other provincial governments have also announced to take strict measures to help the provincial governments fight out the deadly variant.

In a related development, Prime Minister Imran Khan, has appealed in his message to the nation to the masses to strictly follow COVID specific standard operating procedures (SoPs) to help the government curtail the pandemic.
