* Death *

This picture takes me down the memory lane remembering having spent a night with my father at the roof top built guest room of Aman Cinema in Peshawar, owned and named after Aman Ullah Khan of Swat My only past time that very night was to watch a movie then on display named ‘ Zarqa’, over and over again . The famous actor Shan’s mother Neloo played a lead role as a Palestinian freedom fighter in the movie , who was tragically executed at the end, exactly the way we see genocide of Palestinians today.

Something which gives me hope and strength is when I saw on social media footages of a handful of Hamas fighters storming Israel, shaking its high tech security myth. Isreal must fear the day when all Islamic countries together go for Israel that it will be their death . Israel still has time to introspect their historic blunder of trying to win Palestine by sheer force and occupation than giving rights to the Palestinians to live on their own land freely and with dignity.

The man next to the Mercedes- Benz is Aman Ullah Khan himself, who earned an honest living, fame and wealth, acting as a contractor to the last Wali of Swat, Miangul Abdul Haq Jehanzeb . The Wali being a perfectionist, it was only a person of Aman Ullah Khan’s standards of precision in execution of civil work that satisfied the then ruler’s high standards of infrastructure that stand tall and strong till date, despite most of them deliberately pulled down and cheaply rebuilt to make money.

Aman Ullah, tragically died in a road accident riding his Mercedes- Benz hit by a dumper truck at the Zero Point in Islamabad in early 70s. His American friend who hosted him for dinner offered him to stay at his home the offer he declined on the plea that he was booked at the Intercontinental Hotel in Rawalpindi not knowing death awaited him . His last words before breathing his last was Butt Butt meaning inform Mehmood Butt, his friend from Swat originally hailing ffinyRawalpindi that those who reached to evacuate him to the hospital failed to decipher his desperate last murmur. Rest In Peace.
