ISLAMABAD ; October 10,2022.; In an attempt to speak his heart out and come out with his role of a facilitator to bring warring political forces in Pakistan to a negotiation table,president , Dr Arif Alvi ,on Monday evening said he was not convinced on the foreign conspiracy theory behind ouster of Imran Khan government in April this year, but added that he sent the letter to the Supreme Court to take evidential examination of it and address the controversy.
The president, who seems distancing from Imran Khan and his party policy of confronting with important stakeholders,on Monday , told Asma Sherazi of Aaj TV , in her live show that he had doubts over foreign conspiracy theory as claimed by Imran Khan for ouster of his government and he wanted its examination and for the same sent alleged letter of conspiracy to the apex court to determine its veracity.
President Alvi added that Imran Khan was extremely disturbed over ouster of his government and he took a decision to leave the parliament in his personal capacity. The president said had he been consulted on resigning of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf from the national assembly he would have given his advice otherwise.
Imran Khan has been claiming of a foreign conspiracy behind ouster of his government in April this year and since then running a public campaign to convince his supporters and voters that the incumbent government has come into power on the behest of foreign forces .
Since ouster from power as a result of a successful no confidence vote , Imran Khan is using different tactics and reference of a foreign consiracy is one of them.
Now when president Alvi has contradicted Imran Khan’s claim of the foreign conspiracy , Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) chief’s claim to this effect will ultimately lose the steam.
Imran Khan is also giving touches of religion to his campaign launched against the incumbent government . He off and on uses religious slogans to make his supporters believe that their leader was a very religious man and whatever he says was true . Imran Khan’s cleverly crafted scheme to befool the people of Pakistan has worked well. A vast majority of voters in Pakistan takes Imran Khan as a saviour of the masses and Pakistan .
President Dr Arif Alvi told the anchorperson that Imran Khan should sit with the political forces and reach to a broader concensus on the economy . He said at present only two challenges were on the table , First , the economic challenges and second the elections in Pakistan. He said Imran Khan should sit with his political opponents not to discuss theft, but to workout a consensus on economic revival .
The president also spoke on the appointment of the new army chief and said it would be better if a concensus is created among the government and opposition for appointment of the army chief . He claimed that in the past the governments consulted with the opposition on appointment of the army chief . Dr Alvi said he will approve the summary for appointment of the army chief as per the procedure enshrined in the constitution of Pakistan.
