FIA report on oil crises exposes corrupt system of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) report on last oil crises has exposed corrupt system, besides raising serious questions on governance in Pakistan.
A 163- page investigation report has highlighted every character of the oil crises that struck Pakistan in May and June this year.
If you go through the report , it will make you crystal clear as to who was who in the oil crises . The oil crises also gives a glimpse as to how mafias operate in Pakistan to fleece end consumers and make undue or windfall profit. It also establishes that every character of the oil crises made fun of the law of the land by creating artificial oil shortage.
The role of the oil marketing companies (OMCs) in the oil crises simply gives a clear message to every one in this country that the mafias are only for their profit, no matter how it comes and not to be a responsible corporate citizen and hence gives damn to any authority or rule of law. The role of the concerned authorities ,in particular , Petroleum secretary , director general Oil, Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) chairman, is shameful. These senior government officials, instead performing duty honestly, colluded with rogue oil marketing companies for probably their petty interest. These officials , in fact, permitted these rogue oil marketimg companies to make fun of Pakistan’s law by stopping supply of oil to the market when the prices had comparatively less profit margin.
The oil marketing companies had suspended oil supply in Pakistan in May and June this year when petroleum products rates in international market reduced substantially .
Can someone believe that oil marketing companies could ignore the official orders to choke oil supply when their profit margin had shrunk due to reducing oil prices in the global market.
The FIA has done good job and pin pointed every character of the oil crises.
Now its responsibility of the federal government to fix -up all characters of the oil crises so that no one dares to go for unlawful act like stopping the oil supply to the market in the future. FIA report on oil crises exposes corrupt system

Since the matter is now with rhe federal cabinet, one can hope that PTI government will make this ugly act of oil marketing companies the last and final by giving examplary punishment to all characters of the crises. There is great need to investigate the role of Nadeem Babar, special assistance to the prime minister, in the oil crises.. it should also be checked as to who managed to get appointed a vitinery doctor as director general Oil in the ministry of Petroleum.
