LAHORE: Dec 28, 2022: Fog has caused the closure of a number of motorways and highways. M 1, the motorway is closed due to maintenance from Col Jan Sher interchange to Close Col Jan Sher interchange. M2 is blocked due to fog from Thokar Niaz Baig to Lot Momen interchange. M 4 Lahore-Multan Motorway is under dense fog and closed from Lahore to Abdul Hakeem. M 11 Sialkot- Lahore Motorway is under dense fog also and it’s closed from Mahmood Boti to Sumberial.
M4 Pindi Bhattian -Abdul Hakeem section is closed due to dense fog right now.
GT road is under fog and traffic is facing problems at most of its sections. The fog situation in Punjab as a whole and in KPK and Sindh partially is likely to continue for the next few weeks.
Lahore city is also under dense fog at the moment.
National Highway and Motorway Police (NH&MP) has issued the latest update on the fog situation in Pakistan.
The spokesman of Motorway Police has requested that travelers avoid unnecessary traveling.
