Islamabad : The government on Sunday slashed petroleum product prices considerably for the current fortnight . A notification has been issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA). The reduced rates which will remain effective till September 30.
The government will review the rates of petroleum products after two weeks . The new reduction in oil prices will give some relief to the commuters and tapper inflation proportionately.
According to the official notification , petrol price is reduced by Rs 10 per litre. Its new rate for the current fortnight is fixed at Rs 249.10 a litre. High speed diesel (HSD) price is reduced by Rs 13.06 a litre. Its new rate is fixed at Rs 249.49 per litre. Kerosin price is slashed by Rs 11.15 and its new price is fixed at Rs 158.47 per litre for the buyers . Light speed diesel price is cut by Rs 12.12 and its new rates are fixed for the fortnight at Rs 143.69 a litre.
