My fight against mafias to continue

ISLAMABAD; prime minister, Imran Khan, on Sunday said Pakistan’s crooked mafia hid behind stay orders issued by the judiciary and called upon the judiciary to have mercy on the country.
Responding to a call here as a part of his direct communication with the nation , the prime minister deplored that powerful mafias take advantage of their dirty wealth and hire heavily paid lawyers to secure stay orders to stop action against them.
The prime minister said he had summoned a meeting of the regulators recently to know as if what stops them from protecting the interest of the people against artificial price -hike and hoarding and it told him that the stay orders secured by the mafias from the courts were real problem in this regards. He said his government was going to reform the judiciary to get rid of the problems delaying speedy justice. The prime minister said ” If you ask me what one factor he would count for betterment of the country I would say it is merit -based justice “.
The prime minister said the price -hike and inflation were two serious concerns worrying him. He said the price-hike was an international problem and it was affecting rich countries.like United Kingsdm and United States of America. Imran Khan again hit hard on his political opponents, saying Pakistani siclian mafia wants different treatment as it deems itself over and above the other people of Pakistan and even the rule of law. He reiterated that no matter what it brings, but he would not spare those who plundered the national walth and laundered it out of Pakistan. The prime minister said for him accountability was a “Jehad”. He said he was fighting a mafia and his fight to continue.
He also ensured to one of the callers that he would hold investigation into the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) issue of routes handling out of Pakistan. He told another questioner that the accused killer of Noor Maqadam will get justice .
Reacting to the prime minister’s “replies’ to the callers, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz PML(N), senior vice president, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, said ” You (Imran Khan) have nothing, but to live upto your anti Sharifs rhetoric”.
