Pakistan Bar Council former vice chairman , Syed Amjad Hussain Shah , will represent the case before the SCP. Speaking on his case for protection of basic human rights of underprivileged section of Pakistani society , Syed Khurrum Raza Shah said he is going to the apex court of Pakistan to seek protection for basic human rights of under privileged section of the society like domestic workers , non-government employees , media persons. He said SCP will be pleaded through the petition to direct the government that it should provide all basic human rights to down-trodden section of the society. The petition will also call upon the government for making rules and regulations for protection of domestic workers , non-government employees and daily wagers. Pakistan lack proper rules and regulations for ensuring basic human rights to under privileged section of its society and it has been commonly observed that the employers take undue benefits of non-implementation of the basic human rights to exploit down – trodden section of the society. The domestic workers and non-government employees are giving salaries less than minimum wages and their working hours are not determined as per the law. Likewise, daily wagers do not have social protection and in the case of any accident they do not get insurance or even proper medical care. Syed Khurrum Raza’s petition can be of a fundamental importance to ensure a comprehensive legal cover to the under privileged section of Pakistani society .
