Pakistan heading for revolution?

Revolution is an extremely complex process that can be triggered by a variety of factors, such as social, economic, or cultural grievances of the people. Revolution is often seen as a challenge to the status quo or the established system of power and authority. The status quo refers to the existing social, economic, and political order, which may be seen as an oppressive, unjust, or outdated by those who seek change. Revolutions can erupt when the people at large feel that the existing structure is no longer serving their needs or interests. Moreover, they believe that the radical change is essential to create a more just, equitable and inclusive society.

Social, economic or cultural conditions can create a sense of discontent and anger among the population which often outburst into wide spread commotion across the country. It is strongly believed that social, economic and cultural unrest are prime reasons of eruption of the any revolution and owing to these inequalities, simmering dissatisfaction, tension and conflict start getting more pronounced and gradually pushing into mass uprising where all are opposing in any form according to their capacity of emotions and aptitude.

Specifically talking, social unrest arises when people feel marginalized, oppressed, or discriminated against any social order. This can be due to factors such as inequality, social exclusion, political repression, human rights abuses or any form of injustice. Social unrest fuel the passions of masses and when it reaches to tipping point, it can result into mass protests, demonstration, violent confrontations with existing authorities.

Economic unrest can also trigger revolutions when people are experiencing hardships and deprivation due to economic factors such as poverty, unemployment, inflation, or corruption. Economic inequality and unfair distribution of wealth can also contribute to economic unrest. When people feel that economic system is engineered against them or that their basic needs are not being met, they may become more willing to challenge the status quo and seek change through revolutionary means.

Cultural unrest can also play a role in triggering revolutions by highlighting the deep-seated difference and conflicts that exist within a society. Cultural unrest can arise due to factors such as ethnic, religious or linguistic tensions, as well as conflicts over values, beliefs and norms. When cultural tension becomes heighten, they can lead to social fragmentation, political polarization, and even civil war.

A mesmerizing and fascinating leadership is a crucial for any revolution. A trusted and reliable leader can provide vision, guidance and direction to the movement. Only he can mobilize each segment of the society and unite the people around common goal. His clear and inspiring vision really helps to motivate people and build momentum for the movement. He can articulate their grievances and explain how it will benefit the people and channel their energy and enthusiasm into concrete actions.

Several fault lines that have created ongoing challenges and tensions within the country political system. Currently. Undoubtedly Pakistan is referred as socially, politically, economically and culturally an instable country where democratic norms have been mutilated hence it is at almost verge of collapse. The country is about to default economically, no jobs, no justice, no institution, no law & order, terribly fragmented and polarized societies on religious, ethnic, linguistic and culture, hence people are facing social, economic, and cultural suffocation and deprivation, often termed it by many politicians, “Banana Republic” ironically which was growing at 6% GDP in sixties. Hypothetically speaking, ground is ready for any type of revolution; hence, Imran Khan has galvanized the masses and posing severe resistance to authorities. His words are piercing through the people and factually, people thronged with families and kids at his call at very short notice in last one at multiple times.
Question is why is Imran Khan unable to succeed despite of so richly ripe ground for uprising? Critical review of Imran Khan’s struggle reveals that his battle is against corruption and he specifically wants to dislodge the
existing political structure through legitimate means as per the constitution.

This is really challenging, when wind is blowing against him as he is pitched against all political parties including other power corridors. Imran Khan has only defaulted owing to his inflexibility (some term it stubbornness) hence he didn’t invited other political parties, those not part of PDM, including Jamat-e-Islami (JI), PPP (Fatima Bhuto) etc. and trade unions. A political crusade can only succeed by mobilization of all national and international stakeholders, otherwise its bound to fail. Violation of constitution on any pretext is unpardonable act that can really play catalytic role in mobilization of dormant actors in the society. He needs to aggressive engage the international diplomats present in Pakistan and abroad for abuse of human rights and violation of constitution. Lastly, stalwart of his party (barring few), remained hesitant and conservative on many occasions and did not participate aggressively, which negatively impacted and delayed.
