Imran Khan castigates state institutions again, urges people to stand for his cause

PTI chief issues veiled warning to army saying it will be biggest loser if economic downfall continues

LAHORE: Jan 25, 2023: Pakistan Tehreek- e- Insaf (PTI) chairman, Imran Khan, on Wednesday addressed to the nation and urged upon the people of Pakistan to stand for his cause to establish the rule of law in the country lest it gets too late. He also called upon top judiciary of Pakistan to rise to the occasion and take action to stop abuse of basic human rights of the people as he apprehends more unlawful acts like arrest of Fawad Chaudhary from partial caretaker government led by Mohsin Naqvi in Punjab.

PTI chief urged upon the top judiciary not to bug down like Justice Munir who in his views opted to side with powerful circles rather than standing up for the rule of law in Pakistan.
Imran Khan said the nation is paying price for Justice Munir’s falling to powerful circles and if top judiciary again repeats the same God forbid what will be its fallout on Pakistan now. PTI chief said “ I appeal to top judiciary to take notice of what he termed as ‘fascist act’ of the rulers and stand for the rule of law as no country could progress if it does not have the rule of law”.

Imran Khan made several veiled attacks on the institution of the army in his Wednesday’s address to the nation and expressed astonishment over what he believed siding of the powerful circles with these imported rulers. He claimed that his rule was overturned to impose these money launders and thieves who plundered public money for 30 years and laundered it to buy villas in very precious areas of London.

Imran Khan is repeating this allegation since his ouster from the government in April last year. He recalled that Pakistan was making progress in his rule and its pace of growth was around 6 percent per annum , but his government was toppled to induct what he called as imported government in Pakistan. Imran Khan claimed that Shahbaz Sharif government has destroyed Pakistan ‘s economy and brought the country to the knee.
He said the powerful circles were big stakeholders and fall of the economy would damage them the most. He referred the case of Sri Lanka and said International Monetary Fund (IMF) has ordered that country to cut down its army to get out of economic meltdown.

PTI chief condemned arrest of Fawad Chaudhary, his party hawk and former Information minister and other party leaders like senator Azam Swati and Shahbaz Gill. He sought the reason which led to the arrest of his senior party leaders. PTI chief seemed convinced that Fawad Chaudhary, Azam Swati and Shahbaz Gill had done nothing wrong and their arrests were uncalled for and a question mark on the credibility of the rule of law in Pakistan.
Imran Khan also named slain journalist, Arshad Sharif, among those who in his views had become prey to the government’s victimization.

PTI chief also gave a detail chronology of attempt made on his life in Wazirabad during his Azadi long march and claimed that powerful circles (Without naming any state institution, but clearly hinting at the army institution) blocked the working of Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to hush-up the conspiracy hatched out to assassinate him during the Azadi long march. He claimed that JIT had established that attackers were three who fired at him in Azadi march.
