ISLAMABAD; Jamiat Ulama Islam (JUI) chief , Maulana Fazal ur Rehman, is contiously attacking the state organs, in particular, the armed force in his speeches. He, like his two years practice , went on to his the same spree of publicly castigating the armed forces in an address to a public gathering recently.
Video clips of his last controversial speech , aired by social and main stream media, has sent a shocking wave to all segments of society.
JUI chief’s attacks on armed forces have also rung alarm bells for those who believe his anti armed forces campaign was on purpose and on the behest of those who were trying to weaken Pakistan’s key institutions like the army and judiciary.
PMLN supremo , Nawaz Sharif, began undermining the state institutions soon after his ouster from prime minister office.
After Nawaz , Fazal ur Rehman became the next to disrepute Pakistan’s army. Since both Nawaz Sharif and Maulan Fazal ur Rehman, had enjoyed unpararell company in the power corridors , none of them accepted win of PTI in 2018 elections .
Fazal ur Rehman even got more furious after losing his election. He on the very day of the elections, blamed the state institutions for his defeat and announced to use force to stop PTI elected members from entering in parliament.
It was generally believed that with the start functioning of the new government, the Maulana’s anguish will start subsiding and finally he will accept the people verdict. However, this thinking proved wrong with each passing day. The Maulana, instead of following a democratic approach , presented himself to spearhead vicious campaign against the military . Attacking the armed forces became his main agenda in every public meeting.
The Maulana has a peculiar position in Pakistan’s politics. He enjoys undivided support of Madrasa students across Pakistan and it is generally believed that he can use his this religious card to create uncontrollable crisis in Pakistan at shortest notice.
For his same power of Madrasa students, the Maulana is today darling of PMLN supremo, Nawaz Sharif.
The Maulana had shown his power last year when he managed to bring thousands of students of Madrasa in Islamabad for sit in against Imran Khan’s government.
Although JUI chief had wound up his sit in in an unusual manners in the end, but it had left a loud and clear message for the state institutions that he could repeat the same episode at any time to jam the country and create a serious law and order situation.
Reliable sources told NEWSMAN that the institutions responsible of maintaining law and order in the country were on high alert to deal with the situation if opposition , in particular, the JUIF tried to use the Madrasa card for creating unrest in the country.
“This time, the Maulana will not be allowed to use Madrsa students for his politics “, the same sources said.
Accoring to the sources, the state institutions were busy in doing homework to make sure that the opposition under any circumstances does not challenge the law and order in the country and if it at any stage of protest tries to create any unrest in the country it will be dealt swiftly with iron hand.
It is time to tell the real story of the opposition’s anti government campaign, but one thing is crystal clear that the opposition’s malicious campaign against the state institutions will cost it dearly .
Federal minister ,Fawad Chaudhary’s advice to the opposition for not crossing the red line is enough to give it an unveiled message.
Fawad Chaudhary in his interview to a private news channel on Monday night ↵ had categorically conveyed to the opposition that it will feel sorry if it any stage of protest crossed the red line.
