Rawalpindi, August 15, 2024: The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Thursday said in connection with the FGCM proceedings of Lt Gen (Retd) Faiz Hameed, three retired officers are also in military custody for their actions prejudicial to military discipline.
Further investigations of certain retired officers and their accomplices for fomenting instability at the behest of and in collusion with vested political interests are continuing.
Ex-ISI chief, Faiz Hameed , was taken into the military custody last week for violating the Army Act. ISPR in its last week handout had noted that Ex-ISI chief , Fiaz Hameed, has been taken into military custody on the direction of the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP). The apex court had directed the complainant, Moeez Khan , the owner of Top City Housing Society to approach to the concerned forum for relief as the allegations leveled in the complaint are of the serious nature.
General (Retd) Faiz Hameed had been ISI chief in Imran Khan’s rule (2019-21). Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) founding chairman, Imran Khan, is in jail for over one year. A day earlier, Imran Khan had given his reaction in his media talk inside Adiala Jail. He had termed Faiz Hameed’s case an internal matter of the armed forces. He, however , deplored that Faiz Hameed was a great asset which has been spoiled. Imran Khan, however, did not divulge to describe the term asset in his media talk.
