Karachi, October 15, 2024: On a three-day tour, the Italian Navy Carrier Strike Group, which included the Frigate ITS ALPINO and Aircraft Carrier ITS CAVOUR, arrived in Karachi.
Senior Pakistan Navy officers and the Ambassador from Italy greeted the Italian Navy ships wholeheartedly when they arrived.
A team from Italy, headed by Ambassador Marilina Armellin, is set to visit Rear Admiral Abdul Munib, Commander of the Pakistan Fleet.
Interoperability and potential future collaborations to improve regional maritime security and defense cooperation were among the topics of mutual interest covered during the conference.
