PMLN chief congratulates Indian PM

Islamabad : June 10 ,2024 : advocating hope for peace and betterment of the people of India and Pakistan , former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) , Mian Nawaz Sharif , on Monday warmly congratulated to Indian prime minister ,Narendra Modi , on becoming India’s prime minister for third time. Indian prime minister , Narendra Modi ‘s party had emerged as a leading party in the last general elections held in India in the last month. Narendra Modi had sworn in as India ‘s prime minister on Sunday. PMLN president and 3-term prime minister of Pakistan , Mian Nawaz Sharif , has written a letter to congratulate Narendra Modi , on winning the last Indian elections and taking over as prime minister of India for third term. Mian Nawaz Sharif in his message to Indian prime minister said ” We are happy to see you as Indian prime minister for third time . Now we want to have cordial relations with India to ensure peace and progress in the region . Mian Nawaz Sharif in his message said “Mr prime minister Pakistan will reciprocate every positive move of your government to have last peace and stability in the region”. Mr Nawaz Sharif added that around two billion people of India and Pakistan and their future rests on friendly relationship between the two countries. Mian Nawaz Sharif has a history of making efforts for bringing Pakistan -India relationship to the normalcy and enhance bilateral trade between the two counties. Despite resistance from some quarters , Mian Nawaz Sharif had invited Mr Modi to Lahore when he was a prime minister of Pakistan (2013-2016). Many argue that the same invitation soard his government ‘s relations with the powerful establishment. Many believe that Mian Nawaz Sharif ‘s strategy to go for normal relations with New Delhi was in Pakistan ‘s interest.
