ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek – e – Insaf (PTI), MNA ,Raja Riaz has said he will join a group of party parliamentarians that will meet prime minister, Imran Khan, today to dispel his misunderstanding with Jahangir Khan Tareen.
NEWSMAN contacted Raja Riaz by phone in Islamabad to confirm the meeting between the prime minister and dissident group today.
Raja Riaz said : Our group of friends is meeting today with the prime minister to remove his misunderstanding with Jahangir Khan Tareen and provide the latter a chance of a fair trial in sugar scandal .case.
Raja Riaz is among those PTI parliamentarians who are siding with Jahangir Khan Tareen in party infighting. This dissident group was trying to seek a meettng with the prime minister to brief him on the reservations expreased by Jahangir Khan Tareen with regard to the investigations being carried out against him in last year’s sugar scandal .
The prime minister has invited the dissident group today for the meeting.
Governer Punjab, Chaudhary Sarwar, is also arriving Islamabad to facilitate the meeting between the prime minister and dissident group.
