Nawaz Sharif reacts sharply to publicity of military-politicians meetings
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League (PMLN) supremo, Mian Nawaz Sharif, has sharply reacted to publicity of recent meetings between the military top brass and political leadership and demanded this game of getting liken interpretation should come to an end.
In his tweet on September 24, 2020 from London, Nawaz Sharif said the recent developments have once again confirmed how some meetings remain veiled and others are made public to get desired interpretation.
“Today I issue direction to my party no one in personal, individual or collective position will meet to the representatives of the military or secret agencies and, if inevitable for any constitutional requirement or defence related issues, the party nominees will have announced meetings in the future?, Nawaz Sharif noted.
Nawaz Sharif’s reaction has come in the context of disclose of recent meetings between military top brass and political leadership.
Railway minister, Shaikh Rashid Ahmad, had disclosed the recent meetings and their agendas in some of TV channels programmes soon after opposition’s all parties conference (APC) held in Islamabad.
Shaikh Rashid Ahmad, as usual, had tried to create an impression as if he was the most informed person of the country. His this effort irked PMLN leadership which finally issued a tweet banning all unannounced meetings of his party members with the military leadership in the future.
