ISLAMABAD: October 15,2022: The government on Saturday decided to maintain prices of petroleum products at the current level.
Finance minister , Ishaq Dar, formally announced to keep the oil prices unchanged in a statement released to media here on Saturday .
“The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) had recommended slight reduction in petrol rates and addition in other product prices and after consultations with prime minister, Shahnaz Sharif, it has been decided that the prices of petroleum products would remain unchanged for next fortnight ( October 16-31).
The government had reduced the rates of petroleum products for the current fortnight and the public was expected another reduction for next fortnight but Ishaq Dar’s statement brought them disappointment .
The on-going pricehike has made the people lived miserable and they want relief in the prices of petroleum products feeling any downward decision in petroleum product prices will bring them relief in the value of day to day consumable products .

The people will have to wait for another one fortnight for much needed relief.
