ISLAMABAD: Shahid Salrem Khan , managing director Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) resigned from his post on Tuesday. His resignation left everyone in oil anf gas sector guessing. There were many consipracy theories in the city of rulers as to why Shahid Saleem resigned outnof the blue. Some guessed he had differences with Hammad Azhar on some payments to some powerful member of Imran Khan cabinet . Other claimed Shahid Saleem resigned on some personal reasons.
NEWSMAN contacted Ahmad Yar Luk spokesman OGDCL to know exactly what made Shahid Saleem to bow out as OGDCL boss.
In response to NEWSMAN query Mr Luk said ” There was absolutely no issue of any pressure from Hammad Azhar on payment to any cabinet member and any such rumour was totally uncalled for.
Later, Shahid Saleem talkimg to NEWSMAN said I have tendered resignation as OGDCL MD on personal grounds. I see my age fellow wuth red blood face enjoyimg their retired life and I even at 62 was continuously working This feeling made me to resign as MD OGDCL and rest for remaining years of life. He denied of having pressure from any quarter as managing director OGDCL.
