OIC extraordinary session calls upon Muslim world to forge unity to stop incidents of desecration of holy Quran

JEDDAH (Saudi Arabia): July 2,2023: The Secretary General, Mr. #Hussein_Ibrahim_Taah in the extraordinary meeting of the implementation of #Organization_Islamic_Cooperation: said “I call on the Islamic countries to take unified and collective measures to solve without repeating incidents of copying the Holy Quran and insulting our Holy Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم”

The extraordinary meeting discusses the procedures towards the consequences of the burning of a copy of the Holy Qur’an that took place in the state of # Sweden on the first days of #Eid_Al-Adha, at the invitation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the President of the Islamic Summit in its current session and the President of the Executive Committee

Unfortunately, on the first day of that auspicious occasion, when all Muslims around the world were celebrating, a despicable act of reciting the Holy Qur’an was committed outside the Central Mosque in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden

We emphasize the need to send a clear message that the acts of chanting of the Holy Qur’an and insulting our Holy Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم are not just normal incidents of Islamophobia, and there is a necessity to send a constant reminder to the international community of the urgent implementation of international law, which clearly prohibits any invitation to religious hatred
