Pakistan to Host Global Forum on Criminal Justice and Human Rights

ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly of Pakistan will host the 45th Annual Forum of Parliamentarians for Global Action (PGA) and the 13th Consultative Assembly of Parliamentarians on the International Criminal Court (CAP-ICC) on October 28-29, 2024, in Islamabad.

This event will gather parliamentarians from around the globe for open discussions with peers, experts, academics, government officials, and representatives from the International Criminal Court and various international organizations. Key topics will include advancing domestic and international criminal justice, promoting the rule of law, and safeguarding human rights, with a particular focus on the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.

Syed Naveed Qamar, the current PGA President and a seasoned Pakistani politician, will lead this significant gathering, underscoring Pakistan’s vital role in global dialogues on justice, human rights, and the rule of law. The National Assembly is poised to welcome delegates from around the world for two days of strategic discussions and networking.
