JEDDAH (Saudi Arabia) : A grand event was held by Pakistani journalists in Jeddah to mark Saudi Arabia’s 94th National Day. The ceremony’s guest of honor was Ambassador Aftab Ahmed Khokhar, Assistant Secretary General for Science and Technology at the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). The event also saw participation from Press Counselor Chaudhry Irfan and other consulate officials, along with several Pakistani journalists.
In his address, Ambassador Khokhar extended heartfelt congratulations to Saudi Arabia on its National Day on behalf of Pakistan. He highlighted the historic and deep-rooted relationship between the two nations, emphasizing Pakistan’s pride in its longstanding friendship with Saudi Arabia. He mentioned the deep love that the Pakistani people have for Saudi Arabia and stressed that the futures of both countries are closely connected.
Ambassador Khokhar further noted the significant role the Pakistani community has played in Saudi Arabia’s growth and development. He acknowledged that Pakistan has always found Saudi Arabia to be a steadfast ally, especially in challenging times, and expressed optimism that the relationship would continue to strengthen.
He also encouraged journalists to play a constructive role in fostering Pak-Saudi ties by promoting positive stories and narratives. He praised both nations’ efforts in the OIC to address the issues faced by the Muslim world, stating that cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia is essential for advancing common goals.
The event was well-organized, with Amir Muhammad Khan leading the ceremony and thanking all attendees. Journalist Riaz Ghumman expressed joy at Saudi Arabia’s progress under King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, while Chhangar Khan emphasized the enduring strength of Pak-Saudi friendship.
The celebration concluded with the cutting of a cake in honor of Saudi Arabia’s National Day, alongside the playing of national anthems and Saudi patriotic songs, creating a lively and festive atmosphere.
