PTI retreats from foreign intervention in February 8 elections

Asad Qaiser says PTI demands justice from judiciary , ECP

Islamabad : Feb 16,2024 : Pakistan Tehreek- e -Insaf (PTI) has retreated from its demand made 24 hours ago that the United States should intervene in Pakistan to help it get justice in what it claims ” ‘Mandate theft”.

Media had given extraordinary significance and coverage to PTI founding chairman , Imran Khan’s demand that the US should help PTI get justice and return its stolen mandate . PTI leaders had put forward this demand of US intervention in Pakistan’s internal affairs while quoting reference of deliberations made during their meeting with Imran Khan who is spending a 10- year term in Adiala jail.

After 24 hours, PTI senior leader and ex-speaker national assembly , Asad Qaiser , has contradicted PTI leaders ‘ last day’s media talk and categorically said PTI does not intend to invite foreign intervention in Pakistan ‘s election held on February 8 .

Asad Qaiser added that PTI is struggling to get justice against stealing of PTI mandate from the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and higher judiciary. PTI had won 93 national assembly seats . However , it claims that it won 170 seats of the national assembly but its mandate in 85 seats of the national assembly was stolen. PTI is putting up its demand that ECP should return its stolen mandate.

Jamaat e Islami (JI) , Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) and many other political parties and alliances are on the streets against alleged rigging in February 8,2024.
