Rangers, FC to provide security to parliament on no confidence motion voting day

ISlAMABAD : After a rowdy day in the parliament lodges where police crashed into the residential lodge of Jamiat Ulema Islam Fazal (JUI-F) on March 10, 2022 to expel a few dozen volunteers of Ansarul Islam. a volunteers wing of the party, Interior minister, Shaikh Rashid Ahmad, has announced that Rangers and Frontier Constabulary (FC) would provide security to the parliament , parliament lodges and old MNA hostel on the day of voting on the no confidence motion tabled by the opposition against prime minister, Imran Khan.
The Interior minister made a formal announcement to this effect at a press conference here on Friday. Shaikh Rashid Ahmad again issued a warning that if any one irrespective of position or stature tried to take the law and order in hand he would not be spared . He told the media persons that the opposition should understand what I mean and avoid to repeat the event like Ansarul Islam, a banned malitia of JUI – F did the other day. He said the opposition after sensing defeat over its no confidence motion tried to create law and order situation in the federal capital through Ansarul Islam. “I warn everyone not to do the same unruly scene again otherwise I will scramble on those who will disrespect the law . He also noted that the opposition will face humiliating defeat on the day of voting on the no confidence motion . The Interior minister said the government would provide flawless security during no confidence voting . He again reminded to the opposition that after tabling no confidence motion the onus of bring 172 member national assembly (MNAs ) in the parliament.
