ISLAMABAD : The central crescent committee, Maulana Abdul Kabeer Azad, on Sunday declared that since there was no confirmation of Shawal moon sighting from any part of the country, therefore Eidul Fitr will fall on May 3, 2022.
The central crescent committee had met in all provincial capitals of Pakistan with central meeting in Islamabad . An official announcement made after the meeting noted that since there was no moon sighting confirmation from any part of the country so Eidul Fitr will fall on May 3, 2022.
The Khyber Pukhtunkhaw (KPK) as usual differed with the central crescent committee for decision on Eidul Fitr. It announced to have Eidul Fitr on May 2, 2022.
Khyber Pukhtunkhaw has a long history of having Eidul Fitr in advance than rest of the country . It always differs with central government on the basis of information collected in this regards from different sources .
