Sindh caretaker minister visits Ferry Home, Sukkur assures full cooperation for noble cause

Sukkur : Nov 29 : Care taker minister for Health, Social Welfare and Public Health Engineering Sindh , Dr. Saad Khalid , arrived in Sukkur on a two-day official visit . He visited Ferry Home Sukkur.

During the visit, the owner of Ferry Home Farzana Khoso told the caretaker minister that there are 70 orphan girls at Ferry Home Sukkur whose education, food, upbringing and housing expenses are more than 1 crore 15 lakhs per year and the building of Ferry Home is also rented in. She said several correspondences have been made with the Social Welfare Department in this regard, but so far there is no response and neither the books nor any other funding are being received from the Social Welfare Department. She further informed to the minister funds and a building are needed to run the Ferry Home. She also told the provincial minister about the vacant building of the Women’s Development Department in Sukkur which is very suitable for the Ferry Home. She briefed the minister of facilities being provided to the girls who are living at Ferry Home . She said Sports competitions are also organized for orphan girls .

Caretaker provincial minister Dr. Saad Khalid appreciated the work of Ferry Home Sukkur and said that the best work is being done inside Ferry Home, He said all possible cooperation should be given to such organizations.

He directed Assistant Director Social Welfare Sukkur to ensure all possible cooperation with Ferry Home . He also directed to the assistant director Social Welfare Sukkur to forward the letter received from Ferry Home as soon as possible so that work can be started on the same.

The caretaker provincial minister also visited every class of Ferry Home and took information about education from the children inside the classes. DHO Sukkur Dr. Wazir Phal, Medical Superintendent of Ghulam Mohammad Mehr Medical College Sukkur Dr. Zahid Solangi, Assistant Director Social Welfare Sukkur, Public Health Engineering Officers and officers of other related departments were also present on this occasion.
