RAWALPINDI : The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Sunday issued a strong worded warning to those including politicians who, it said, were intentionally maligning the armed forces and its leadership. It warned all such elements to stop dragging the army into ongoing political discourse which can damage to the country. ISPR statement, which clearly demonstrated that the armed forces’ level of digestion is about to exhaust, has come hours after former Interior minister ,Shaikh Rashid , openly and publically targeted to the military at Pakistan Tehreek e. Insaf (PTI) public rally held in Abottabad in Khyber Pukhtunkhaw (KPK) on Sunday . Shaikh Rashid Ahmad in his addressed to the public rally in Abottabad said ” We know who was BAP of BAP to assemble all corrupt against Imran Khan”.
A day earlier , Shiakh Rashid Ahmad called upon the armed forces to intervene to sort out the current political crisis and ensure fresh elections in the country. Similarly , PTI chairman , Imran Khan , is making highly provocative statements while addressing to the public rallies.
Shaikh Rashid and other political crooks as well as their like- minded journalists and social media activists should read ISPR statement before they get the full heat of the anger created by their anti state remarks and statements . Here is the full content of ISPR statement issued here.
“Recently there have been intensified and deliberate attempts to drag Pakistan Armed Forces and their leadership in ongoing political discourse in the country. These attempts are manifest through direct, insinuated or nuanced references to the Armed Forces as well as their senior leadership, made by some political leaders, few journalists and analysts on public forums and various communication platforms including social media . This practice of unsubstantiated, defamatory and provocative statements /remarks is extremely damaging. Pakistan Armed Forces take strong exception to such unlawful and unethical practice and expect all to abide by the law and keep the Armed Forces out of political discourse in the best interest of the country”.
