Karachi (Newsman): The PSB Coaching Center’s PSF Jahangir Khan Squash Complex hosted the Third McDonald’s Junior and Women’s Squash Championship in 2024.
Mahnoor Ali, 13, of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, won the women’s event by defeating Roshna Mehmood, a considerably more seasoned international player from Punjab, 3-1.
Sohail Adnan of Punjab defeated Syed Muhammad Hassan of Punjab 3-0 in a straight-forward match to win the Boys’ Under-13 title.
The Boys’ Under-9 winner, Atif Ali Naz of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, defeated Aban Khan of Sindh 3-0 without dropping a match.

A closing ceremony and finals marked the end of the five-day event, which was sponsored by the American Business Council of Pakistan and had a 600,000 PKR prize pool. The main guest for the event was Amin Lakhani, the CEO of McDonald’s.
Maaz Hanif, McDonald’s COO Jamil Mughal, Secretary Muhammad Amir Khan, President Adnan Asad of the Sindh Squash Association, and the parents and guardians of the players who were competing were among the other distinguished guests.
Amin Lakhani emphasized McDonald’s Pakistan’s dedication to supporting sports and giving young people plenty of chances to show off their abilities at a media appearance.
McDonald’s commitment to helping Pakistan restore its lost international prominence in squash was emphasized, and he promised the organization will keep up its efforts in this area.
For their efforts to the sport, Lakhani also commended the Sindh Squash Association and its president, Adnan Asad.

According to Adnan Asad, there are initiatives underway to improve possibilities for up-and-coming squash players and showcase fresh potential. To boost sports activities, he encouraged other organizations to follow McDonald’s example.
Additionally, players and their parents expressed their opinions, praising the championship as a worthy occasion.
