Islamabad : May 3 ,2024 : The federal government on Friday established a National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) to counter rising cyber crimes in the country. NCCIA will operate on the pattern of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and it will be led by a director general . It will also have an additional director general (ADG) and it will also have a complete set up on the pattern of FIA. . Currently , FIA has a Cyber wing which deal with cyber related crimes . However , raining cyber Crimes in the country underlined the need of having a full scale NCCIA with a complete a complete structure . It’s a good move to have a complete agency to tackle with rising cyber Crimes in Pakistan. The government issued a notification to formalise setting up of NCCIA . This notification has come into force forthwith .
