Lahore : Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML- N) supremo and former prime minister , Mian Nawaz Sharif , has said that not only Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) founding chairman , Imran Khan , but also those who facilitated his coming into power are even more criminals and they should be held accountable for their treacherous act .
Mian Nawaz Sharif made these important remarks during his first meeting with newly elected PMLN members of the national and provincial assemblies . Punjab Chief minister , Maryam Nawaz , Rana Sana and some other senior leaders of the party were also present on the occasion.
PMLN ‘s candidates had swept by – elections held last week. The victory of PMLN candidates’ in the last by – elections has secured simple majority in the national assembly for the party. With getting simple majority , PMLN has become comfortable for future law-making. So far , PMLN was dependent on its allies for law making in the parliament.
PMLN’s victory in the last by -elections has boasted Nawaz Sharif ‘s moral . Taking courage of PMLN win in the by-elections, Nawaz Sharif spoke out his mind and heart in his first meeting with the newly elected party members of the national assembly and provincial assemblies .
PMLN supremo roared in the interaction with the party new faces and old political aides. He said Imran Khan ‘s government which ruled the country for around four years devastated Pakistan . He referred Saudi Riyal ‘s exchange rate to the Rupee and said when his government was dismissed by Pervez Musharraf , a military dictator , in 1999 Saudi Riyal parity to the Rupee was 1: 11 ,which he noted has gone up many times and now one Saudi Riyal party to the Rupee was 1:78. Nawaz Sharif noted that depreciation of the Rupee multiplied woes of Pakistanis .
Nawaz Sharif claimed that Imran Khan was brought into power by his facilitators and this action pulled Pakistan ‘s journey of progress back by decades. He termed the facilitators of Imran Khan as worse criminals and demanded their accountability.
Mian Nawaz Sharif also claimed that after hard work , Shahbaz Sharif government has put Pakistan on the road to progress and hoped that it was now set to go up. He asserted that Imran Khan brought a culture of bad mouthing in Pakistan’s politics , which damaged the credibility of the country . He argued that his government’s continuity could have addressed Pakistan’s financial woes and put its going back to IMF again and again to end.
Maryam Nawaz claimed that PTI’s narrative nose dived in this by-elections and the people voted for performance in it. She claimed that Imran Khan’s relatives lost their elections in these by -elections.
