Pakistan heading for brighter future. President Alvi

ISLAMABAD: Amid uproar of the opposition , president Arif Alvi, addressed to the joint sitting.of parliament here on Monday.
With address of the president to the joint sitting, the new parliamentary year of Pakistan has begun.
President Arif Alvi counted seccesses of the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) government made in the last three years and expressed optimism that the continuation of the current policies will make Pakistan a progressive country , having a bright future.
Counting positive indications of the national economy, the president said Pakistan,’s remittances reached all time high at $ 19.4 billion in 2020-21. He said Pakistan stock market rose to historic high which indicates imvestors’confidence in Pakistan’s economy. He advocated the use of electronic voting machines (EVM) to ensure transparency in the election process.
He said the government was giving top priority to health, education and housing sectors, which was a true model of Riasit e Madina. He said
agriculture grew by 2.7 % last year and there was urgent need to focus on agriculture sector for its fast growth, He added that 1.7 million youth got vocational training during PTI rule. According to the president, Ehsas programme provided scholarship to 50 000 students and 42000 more are going to get scholarships. He noted that population was a big challenge to the country. He added that Pakistan has limited resources and it can not afford the highiest population rate of around 3 percent. The president noted that there was urgent need to implement laws to apply population planning to reduce rate of population . He said the Islamic scholars should come up with their support to dispel wrong impression about population planning. He urged for providing protection to the women folk. He specially referred recent cases of sexual abuses and harassment of the women and asked the government to take every possible step to punish those involved in such henious crimes. The president said India has unleashed an unending phase of terror against innocent Kashmiris. He said Pakistan prime minister, Imran Khan, asked India to take one step and in return Pakistan will come forward two steps for peace in the region. He said India took this good gesture of Pakistan as its weekness and targetted it for terrorism. He said India must stop terrorism in held Kashmir.

He said sale of nuclear material in India was a serious concern to Pakistan. He said the world should listen to new Afghan government seriously. He asserted that the global community should help Afghanistan to avert looming humanitarion crisis.He said Pakistan was open to invite more partners to CPEC. He welcomed inclusion of Afghanistan in CPEC project. He warned India to stop conspiring against Pakistan, Pak- China friendship and CPEC . He roared that your (Indian) conspiracies will end- up at a big failure. The president appreciated the statements eminating from Afghanistan and said these positive statements would help restore peace in that war- torn country.He said Pakistan was hosting 3 million Afghans for 4 decades and asked the world community to acknowledge its this great sacrifice for Afghanistan. The president said the government policy to counter COVID-19 crisis was a great success. The president said Pakistan grabbed extraordinary successes in the last three years. The president appreciated the government for allocatimg Rs 100 billion for Kamyab Programme which he observed would be a great support for youth of Pakistan to start its own businesses.
The opposition kept on protesting during the address of the president to the joint sitting. The opposition kept on changing anti government slogans in the parliament during the address of the president and later staged walkout from the House.
