LAHORE, November 9, 2024: The 8th Pakistan Industrial Expo was officially inaugurated on Saturday at the Lahore Expo Centre by Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider.
The event, organized by Everest International Expo Pvt Ltd, has brought together leading industry players, technology companies, and academic figures to discuss collaboration, innovation, and sustainable growth in Pakistan’s industrial sector.
Governor Haider, speaking at the opening ceremony, emphasized the expo’s importance as a key platform for industrial development and international cooperation. “This expo is a testament to Pakistan’s commitment to advancing its industrial sector and strengthening global economic ties,” he said.
The Governor also highlighted the strong relationship between Pakistan and China, describing it as “deeper than the sea and higher than the Himalayas,” and noted that events like the expo further enhance these diplomatic and economic ties.
The event also saw the participation of prominent academic leaders, including Dr. Qaiser Abbas, Vice Chancellor of the University of Sargodha, VC Punjab University, Dr. Muhammad Ali Shah as well as VC of University of Education Dr. Akif Anwar Chaudhry, Vice Chancellor of the University of Education.
The academics emphasized the importance of collaboration between academia and industry, calling for more research and innovation to drive economic development.
Mr. Fa Wenyan, CEO of Everest International Expo Pvt Ltd, also addressed the attendees, thanking them for their support and outlining the expo’s goals. “Our mission is to provide a dynamic platform for industry leaders and innovators to connect, explore new technologies, and form strategic partnerships that will shape the future of Pakistan’s industrial landscape,” he said.
The expo features a wide range of exhibits focused on the latest developments in manufacturing, technology, and sustainable industrial practices. Key sectors include CNC machinery, mechanical equipment, industrial components, automotive and motorcycle parts, hardware tools, construction materials, and renewable energy technologies. International exhibitors, particularly in the CNC sector, are showcasing cutting-edge machinery and solutions.
Running until November 12, 2024, the 8th Pakistan Industrial Expo is expected to attract over 130 international exhibitors and a large number of industry professionals, business leaders, and students. The event aims to strengthen trade relations, foster innovation, and support the continued growth of Pakistan’s industrial sector.
