Karachi blast leaves one dead , dozen injured

Police, security agencies respond to incident in no time

KARACHI : A planted bomb hit a busy area of Saddar in Karachi on Thursday, leaving 1 dead and 10 others injured . The blast damaged at least half a dozen vehicles and bikes, besides partially damaging nearby buildings
The bomb exploded at around 11.20 PM when the affected area usually remain busy .
Shahid Kharal , DIG South Sindh , confirmed human and property loss as a result of the bomb blast . He said the blast was a plan to sabotage peace in Karachi and law enforcing agencies were working to dig out facts about the incident . He added that the explosive material was planted in a bicycle.
Murtaza Wahab, the spokesman of Sindh government, visited the scene and later spoke to media. He said the terror act was meant to damage Pakistan and its financial capital Karachi and the law enforcing agency will chase down the perpetrators.
Information minister , Sharjeel Mamon also spoke to the media after the explosion . He said there was no alert of any terrorist act in Karachi.
Prime minister, Shahbaz Sharif, Interior minister, Rana Sanaullah, Foreign minister, Bilawal Bhutto, former prime minister, Imran Khan, condemned the bomb blast in Karachi and demanded arrest of perpetrators .
