ISLAMABAD : After cold shoulder response from Jahangir Khan Tarin (JKT) , Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) supremo , Mian Nawaz Sharif had also rejected Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) estranged leader , Aleem Khan’s proposal to appoint him as chief minister Punjab in case Sardar Usman Buzdar’s rule comes to end through no confidence motion.
Sources said Mian Nawaz Sharif told Aleem Khan during more than one meeting held in London that his party can not consider his proposal to consider him for the post of chief minister Punjab when PTI rule comes to an end in the province .
Sources said after getting poor response from JKT in his stay in London some two weeks ago , Aleem Khan , had held hours long two meetings with Mian Nawaz Sharif wherein he conveyed to PMLN exiled top leader that he enjoys a considerable support from the ruling PTI in Punjab and his contacts can help PMLN over throw chief minister , Sardar Usman Buzdar . Mr Aleem Khan, sources said , presented himself as replacement of Sardar Usman Buzdar during his meetings with PMLN top leader.
Prior to holding meetings with Mian Nawaz Sharif , Aleem Khan , had a plan to meet JKT in London and seek his blessings to give an impression to Mian Nawaz Sharif that he enjoys full support .of JKT group . JKT had declined to meet Aleem Khan in London as majority of his group members did not support the idea of replacing Sardar Usman Buzdar with Aleem Khan.
Aleem Khan had held individual and group meetings with JKT group prior to his departure for London . His tour to London where JKT is also living in for his treatment had gathered great fame in the local media . Aleem Khan himself gave gave an impression in public meetings that he was almost near to be announced as chief minister Punjab.
