Karachi/ Islamabad : Ali Haider Zaidi , a former federal minister and close political aid to jailed former prime minister and founding chairman of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) , Imran Khan , has vehemently condemned arrest of Imran Khan’s sisters including Aleema Khan, Naureen Khan and Dr Uzma Khan and called the act as shameful , disgraceful and absolutely condemnable.
In a statement , Ali Haider Zaidi on Monday said the arrest of Imran Khan ‘s sisters including Aleema Khan , Dr Uzma Khan and Naureen Khan , is an absolutely shameful and condemnable act . He said the rulers of this country have violated every level of respect and women dignity by arresting sisters of former prime minister Imran Khan.
Ali Haider Zaidi added in his statement the winds of change in Pakistan have already begun , but those in the powers do not realize it. Mr Zaidi emphasized the rulers are the last ones to realize what is happening around them.
Following statements by some federal and provincial ministers , the police have launched a countrywide crackdown for arrest of PTi workers.
Federal Information minister , Attaullah Tarar , had held a press conference in Islamabad yesterday . He had made it clear that noine will be allowed to march on Islamabad for any long or short march.
PTI has announced to march on Islamabad on September 27 to force the authorities to release Imran Khan from jail.
PTI supreme , Imran Khan , is in Aidaila jail for over three years for multiple cases. PTI is protesting against his arrest and its going to protest in Islamabad for release of their leader.
In the last 24 hours many PTI lawmakers have also been detained in Islamabad . Imran Khan’s sisters and many top PTI leaders have been arrested in Punjab.
A day earlier , the women police in Islamabad had entered into the houses of many PTI supporters and arrested dozens of them. Ms Misbah, SHO women police station G 7 Markaz led the raiding party to arrest PTI female workers from I-8 and other sectors of Islamabad.
One of the family members of a PTI female worker told this scribe that SHO women station G -7 Markaz Islamabad , Ms Misbah , herself entered into their house with a police party in I-8 on Friday around 7 pm without any search notice and arrested their women who had voted for PTI in the last elections.
SHO Misbah and her 10 -member police party remained inside the house of the affected family for 15 minutes to arrest their female family member just for casting vote for PTI in the last elections. Similarly , the same police party also arrested half a dozen females from different houses in I-8 sector and took them to women police station and locked there.
SHO Misbah misbehaved with the families members who asked her for any search warrants to enter into their houses for arresting female workers of PTI.
Till filing of these reports, police is chasing down PTI workers across Punjab and Islamabad both male and female in connection with September 27 long march.
