ISLAMABAD, (Newsman): Army Chief General Asim Munir on Tuesday emphasised the collective responsibility of the nation in the ongoing fight against terrorism, declaring, “In this war on terror, every Pakistani — whether in uniform or not — is an army chief.”
Addressing the National Action Plan’s Apex Committee, General Munir reminded the audience that the Constitution of Pakistan is the ultimate guiding principle for all citizens, imposing a shared duty to protect the country’s security, both internal and external.
“The Constitution is paramount for all of us. It is our duty, as outlined by it, to safeguard Pakistan’s safety and security, both at home and abroad,” he affirmed.

The Army Chief also addressed the potential threats to national security, stressing that any attempts to undermine the nation’s stability would have severe consequences. “Anyone who stands in the way of Pakistan’s security or obstructs our ability to fulfill our duties will face the consequences,” he warned.
In recognition of the sacrifices made by the armed forces and law enforcement agencies, General Munir acknowledged the critical role they play in compensating for governance gaps caused by the deteriorating security situation.

“Our brave soldiers and law enforcement personnel make daily sacrifices, often paying the ultimate price, to fill the void in governance,” he said. “Their unwavering dedication and the blood of our martyrs are what enable us to continue the fight against terrorism and maintain national stability.”
