Army capable of thwarting enemy’s nefarious designs against Pakistan: COAS asserts

Rawalpindi: August ,9,2023: Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir has said that the Pakistan Army has the full capacity to thwart the nefarious intentions of its enemies. The Pakistan Army is aware of the current and emerging challenges and has the capability to thwart the nefarious intentions of its adversaries in all aspects.

According to a statement issued by the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), the Army Chief visited the Tallah Field firing ranges near Jhelum on Wednesday.

On the arrival of the Chief of Army Staff, Corps Commander Mangla welcomed the Army Chief and briefed him about the operational preparations of the Strike Corps.

General Asim Munir witnessed live fire and exercises of modern VT-4 tanks, firing capabilities of long-range SH-15 artillery guns and display of modern equipment.

According to ISPR, the army chief appreciated the combat skills of the personnel and their mastery of the latest weapons.

General Asim Munir said that the Pakistan Army is aware of the current and emerging challenges and has the capability to thwart the nefarious intentions of its enemies in all aspects.

The Army Chief also appreciated the high level of professionalism shown by the Strike Corps troops.

General Asim Munir has made this visit at a time when he had said in his statement a few days ago that the involvement of Afghan citizens in the terrorist incidents in Pakistan is harmful for the peace and stability of the region.

Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir met the tribal elders at Fort Bala Hisar and appreciated their unwavering determination to stand shoulder to shoulder with the security forces in defeating the menace of terrorism.

He had said that there is no place for terrorism in Pakistan and the involvement of Afghan citizens in terrorist incidents in Pakistan is a deviation from the Doha Peace Agreement by the interim Afghan government.
