Army helicopter carrying Commander Southern Command ,5 other officers goes missing

Missing helicopter took off from Othal , Balochistan for Karachi

RAWALPINDI . August 1, 2022. It was around 5 PM when an army helicopter took off from Othal , Balochistan and its next destination was Faisal Base in Karachi. Its landing time was around 6 PM, but it went missing .

The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed missing of the army helicopter in Balochistan at around 10.45 PM . It said the helicopter is carrying Commander Southern Command Quetta , Lt General , Sarfraz Ali , Major General Amjad, and four other army officers .

The ISPR added that the search operation for missing helicopter was in progress

Missing of an army helicopter carrying a corp commander and 5 other army officers has stunned the nation.

Prime minister , Shahbaz Sharif , and chief minister Balochistan , Abdul Qafoos Bazinjo , sent their messages soon after having the news of missing of the army helicopter. These leaders prayed for safe recovery of the army officers who were aboard in missing helicopter .
