Blasts rattle Kabul, world condemns “cowardly act”

KABUL/ ISLAMABAD: Kabul airport turned into a hell-like situation on Thursday as a result of deadly series of blasts, killing at least 13 mostly US troops, besides leaving over 150 others seriuosly injured.

The blasts occured in front of a hotel at Kabul airport where US troops were providing security for safe exit of American citizens from Afghanistan.

According to the international media , Pentagon confirmed killing of 13 US troops in Thursday’s Kabul blasts.

Afghan Health ministry also issued a statement, confirming killing of 13 US troops in the blasts.. It also said 150 people also injured in the blasts.

Taliban strongly condemned the blasts in Kabul and warned to the perpetrators of severe punishment for their cowardly act.

Taliban spokesman, Zabiullah Mujahid, while giving details of Thursday’s blasts at Kabul airport said the blasts venue was under US forces control and they were providing security at the site of bombing.

Thursday’s blasts were the first terrorist attack in Afghanistan after Taliban takeover. Its an indication that some forces were active to push Afghanistan into a new bloodshed again. It is also a warning to Taliban that establishing peace in Afghanistan may not be an easy task for them.

The world condemned the Kabul blasts and vowed for punishing the perpetrators.

Russia US, , NATO, Europe, China and Pakistan condemned the Kabul blasts in their statements.

NATO and US announced to carry on evacuation of their citizens from Afghanistan despite Thursday’s blasts in Kabul.

Pakistan Foreign Office strongly comdemned deadly blasts in Kabul.

In early hours on Friday, Daesh took responsibility of Kabul blasts.
