Terrorists attempt to.target Chinese ambassador to Pakistan but miss target

Quetta: A powerful bomb explusion in parking area of Sarena Hotel , Quetta on Wednesday killed 4 persons, besides leaving 12 others injured.

According to initial media reports , assistant commissioner Jaffarabad, Bilal Shabbir, and assistant commissioner Revenue , Quetta , Ejaz Ahmad, were among injured persons.
Injured were rushed to the hospital for treatment.

The explusion damaged around 10 vehicles parked in the parking area of the hotel.

The bomb blast was apparently carried out to target Chinese ambassador to Pakistan, who was staying at Sarena Hotel Quetta with his delegation.

Interior minister, Shaikh Rashid Ahmad, strongly condemned the terrorist activity at Sarena Hotel Quetta and vowed to bring those involved in bomb blast to the court of law for punishment . He said Wednesday’s bomb blast was a conspiracy against China, Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

He confirmed that Chinese ambassador to Pakistan was not at Sarena Hotel when the blast occured in its parking area.

Information minister , Fawad Chaudhary, also condemned the Sarena Hotel blast and called it as a cowerdly act of Pakistan’s enemies.
