Chaudhry Abdul Waheed hosts grand dinner in Jeddah honoring journalists , community leaders

JEDDAH : Senior Vice President of PML-N Jeddah and renowned businessman and social figure, Chaudhry Abdul Waheed, hosted a grand dinner in honor of the journalistic fraternity and prominent community leaders. The event was held at the famous Pakistani restaurant “Chef Ji” in Jeddah and was attended by several notable political, social, and media personalities who praised the selfless services of journalists.

The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Umar Masood Puri, while Hasan Butt served as the master of ceremonies. The host, Chaudhry Abdul Waheed, warmly welcomed the guests and paid tribute to journalists, stating that the journalistic community acts as a bridge between the public and society, and their struggle is commendable.

Speakers at the event included Chaudhry Akram Gujjar (Chairman, PML-N), former Punjab CM advisor Chaudhry Azhar Abbas Warraich, PPP Saudi Arabia President Chaudhry Tasawwar Hussain, Raja Muhammad Riaz, Mian Rizwan ul Haq, Umar Masood Puri, Imtiaz Ahmed Qureshi, and Irfan Gondal. They emphasized that journalism is a noble profession and plays a vital role in guiding society. They also noted that it was encouraging to see two prominent journalistic groups in Jeddah united on one platform, sending a strong message of unity to the community.

Leaders from both the Pakistan Journalists Forum and Pak Media Journalists Forum International also spoke during the event. Senior members including Ameer Muhammad Khan, Chaudhry Maroof Hussain, Khalid Cheema, Chaudhry Noor-ul-Hassan Gujjar, Fahad Rafiq Khokhar, and Hasan Butt urged professional journalists to respect each other and promote unity. They highlighted the presence of non-professional and politically motivated elements within journalism, announcing a collective boycott of such individuals. They stressed that only those affiliated with national newspapers or TV channels are part of their groups, and politically disguised figures damage the credibility of journalism.

At the conclusion of the event, a special birthday cake was cut in honor of Chaudhry Noor-ul-Hassan Gujjar, Chairman of Pak Media Journalists Forum International, with attendees congratulating him warmly.

Distinguished community members present at the event included Chaudhry Farooq Anjum, Chaudhry Nawaz Gujjar, Arif Tanoli, Fida Hussain Khokhar, Malik Umar Farooq, Malik Asif Babar Butt, Muhammad Iqbal, and from the journalistic fraternity: Asad Akram, Jameel Rathore, Amanullah Khan, Adeel Ahmed, and others.
