China role model for economic growth : Speakers

Peshawar : Oct 5 : The Khyber Pukhtunkhaw (KPK) offers unique opportunities for social and financial growth .

The speakers expressed these views at 74th anniversary of Pakistan China friendship (PCFA) and China Study Centre (CSC) .

Addressing the event at Peshawar University, caretaker Information Technology (IT) minister of KPK, Dr Najeebullah , said Pakistan has preferred cooperation from China in agriculture, mining , IT and energy sectors. The minister congratulated Chinese people on their national day and recommended to Pakistani students that they should study China’s history culture and civilisation .

Dr Najeeb added that Pakistanis have learnt a lot from China. He identified various areas where Pakistan need to improve and in those areas Pakistan can learn from China.He noted that Pakistan can bring improvement in key areas through increased foreign direct investment , skilled labour and higher education. Dr Najeeb said with the use of FDI China has become a world leader . He said China introduced investor friendly policies to attract FDI for its key sectors. He maintained that the with the use of skilled labour and better education China has made huge progress financially.

Vice Chancellor of Agri University Peshawar Dr Jahan Bukhat congratulated Chinese people on their national day. He said China made huge progress in the context of Road and Belt initiative (RBI) opened up opportunities to strengthen higher education. He said Pak-China Economic Corridor (CPEC) has widened scope of cooperation between Pakistan and China.Profesor Dr Kausar Takreem , Director CSC at Peshawar University thanked the participants of the event.
