We are thankful for your keen interest in the affairs of PSX and the patient hearing you kindly gave us.

He said “I want to take this opportunity to thank you for personally resolving some major strategic issues facing the Chinese Consortium that had been
outstanding with the SECP for many years; specifically, to allowing the carveout of real estate from the Exchange’s core operations as well as giving your consent to allow PSX to increase its shareholding in the National Clearing Company of Pakistan (NCCPL) and the Central Depository Company of Pakistan (CDC), bringing us more in line with international practices. Without your strong support this would not have been possible. For this please accept our deepest appreciation. We strongly believe that the initiatives discussed last Friday will introduce the
Pakistan capital market to Chinese institutional investors over time and we
will continue to work closely with the SECP, the Chinese Regulators and
market participants in Pakistan and China. We look towards you and the SECP
team for continued guidance and support to open the Pakistan market to
Chinese portfolio investment in a significant way”.
