Lahore: Chief minister Punjab , Sardar Usman Buzdar, removed Fayyaz Chohan as his Information minister and appointed Firdous Ashiq Awan as his advisor on Information on Monday.
The Punjab government issued a formal notification to this effect on November 2,2020.
Chohan lost the assignment of Information minister second time in last two and half years tenure of Usman Buzdar government.
Chohan was ‘removed as minister Information in 2019 for the first time over his controversial statement about Hindu minority of Pakistan.
He was reinstated after 6 months in March 2020.
Now no reason has been given by the Punjab government for removal of Chohan from his position.
The Punjab government also removed.two other ministers without assigning any reason.
Mehar Aslam Barwana and Zawar Hussain Warraich have been dis missed as minister for Coperatives and Prisons respectively..
