Christian community celebrates Christmas with great enthusiasm at Pakistan Consulate in Jeddah

JEDDAH ( Saudi Arabia) : The Christian community celebrated Christmas with great enthusiasm at the Pakistan Consulate in Jeddah. The event was attended by a large number of Christian Welfare Society members, men, women, and children. The Consul General of Jeddah, Khalid Majid, was the chief guest at the occasion.

The ceremony began with prayers in accordance with religious traditions. The President of the Christian Community, John Gulzar, expressed his love for Pakistan and Kashmir during the event and thanked Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and the Government of Pakistan. He stated that the Christian community has always received full support from the Government of Pakistan in organizing their religious events.

The chief guest, Consul General Khalid Majid, extended his heartfelt Christmas greetings to the Christian community. In his address, he remarked, “Our faith is incomplete without believing in Prophet Jesus and his teachings.” He assured the Christian community of the consulate’s continued support in every possible way.

Patrick Fluck Share and Pastor Francis also shared their thoughts on Christmas. Key figures from the Pakistani community, including the Chairman of Pakistan Muslim League (N), Chaudhry Akram Gujjar; President of Pakistan Peoples Party Saudi Arabia, Chaudhry Tasawwur Hussain; Acting Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Overseas Community, Sardar Ashfaq Ahmad Khan; Dr. Khalid; and Mian Rizwan-ul-Haq also addressed the gathering and conveyed their Christmas greetings to the Christian community.

The program concluded with the cutting of the Christmas cake, distribution of gifts among children, and the performance of traditional songs.
