CJP Names Justice Mansoor Ali Shah Chairman of Alternate Dispute Resolution Committee

ISLAMABAD, October 30, 2024: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Yahya Afridi has appointed Justice Mansoor Ali Shah as the chairman of the Alternate Dispute Resolution Committee.

The announcement was made on Wednesday and includes the appointments of Justices Ayesha Malik and Shahid Waheed as committee members.

This decision comes shortly after a full court meeting of the Supreme Court approved the Case Management Plan 2023, designed by Justice Shah to address the escalating backlog of cases.

The plan aims to streamline case management by establishing clear standards and utilizing information technology.

Justice Yahya Afridi to Take Oath as CJP

The meeting, chaired by CJP Afridi, was attended by all Supreme Court judges, with Justice Shah joining via video link from abroad.

This initiative underscores the court’s commitment to enhancing judicial efficiency in Pakistan’s highest court.
