CM Gandapur: No Talks Until Imran Khan is Freed

Gandapur Insists PTI’s Protest Will Continue Until Imran Khan is Released

PESHAWAR, November 23, 2024:  Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur stated on Saturday that talks with the government will only take place after the release of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan.

Gandapur emphasized his commitment to following Khan’s direction, pledging to support whatever decisions his party leader makes.

The Chief Minister reaffirmed PTI’s determination to reach D-Chowk in Islamabad, where they plan to remain until Khan and other PTI leaders are freed and their demands are met.

He stressed that the protest would remain peaceful, despite the government’s efforts to block roads and disrupt public movement.

Gandapur also criticized the federal and Punjab governments, accusing them of panicking by closing motorways and highways in response to the protests.

He insisted that the difficulties caused to the public were a result of the government’s actions, not the peaceful nature of PTI’s protest.
